Description: This is an intense and jam-packed 2-day course for women who want to expand their self defense skills on all levels – from mindset, safety and scenario-based training with non-lethal marking rounds, to range first aid. There will also be a cleaning clinic, live fire pistol and rifle training, Israeli-style Self Defense and more!
Guest instructors and speakers will share their expertise, offering a fully-loaded course for women, by women. Loadouts are listed below.
We can provide some equipment for your use. Contact us at jennifer@astrid-defense.com to make arrangements. Also, pack a variety of clothing and outerwear for any type of weather. We will be indoors and outdoors, and we know how crazy Minnesota weather can be!
Lodging: The SCALE facility has lodging on site, single or double dorm rooms. This cost is separate from the cost of the course. Please contact the facility Director Mike Briese at MBriese@co.scott.mn.us to reserve a room. The facility appreciates your payment at check-in.

We’re packing an intensive review of marksmanship and self-defense fundamentals into 5+ hours of classroom, mat room, scenario rooms and range time. Designed for beginners and women who want to confirm their basic skills in progressively challenging ways. Limited to 10 students for lots of personalized feedback.
Bring: Your personal carry pistol, 200 rounds of pistol ammo, 100 rounds of rifle ammo, eye and ear protection, knee pads, a long-sleeved shirt or light jacket, holster, and athletic shoes for the mat room.
Cost: $335 per person, 18 years+

Designed for more experienced target shooters who want to apply their skills in more dynamic training environments. Building on the basics, this workshop adds advanced target and defensive shooting skills with simunitions and on the live fire range. Also, we’re planning a special recognition of in honor of Memorial Day.
Bring: Your personal carry pistol, 150 rounds of pistol ammo, eye and ear protection, knee pads, a long-sleeved shirt or light jacket, and holster.
NOTE: A Minnesota Multi-State new and renewal Carry Permit class will be offered Sunday morning from 9am to noon, given sufficient interest.
Cost:
$287 per person, maximum, 18 years+
$359 perperson, includes Carry Permit class (participants must be 21+ years old). Contact us to make payment arrangements.
