Paula Meyers, Senior Instructor with Krav Maga 101, will introduce students to the Israeli system of self defense. Paula brings 14 years of teaching experience. She is IKMF Certified Expert Level 3 (only 1 of 3 in the country and the ONLY female) with specializations in Civilian, Children, Law Enforcement, VIP/Security, Women, and Military training.
Krav Maga is a world martial arts system that is world renowned for its effectiveness in self defense. It originated from a system that managed to protect and defend against modern day situations, and is now commonly taught to military forces as the best form of unarmed combat. It is employed in organizations such as the Israeli Special Forces, FBI, and CIA to teach personnel to neutralize threats as quickly as possible.
Krav Maga is based on 3 principles that also work for civilians and families: Address the immediate threat. Attack the weakest part of the threat. Attack the attacker.
Participants will learn simple but effective defensive techniques that can increase personal safety at school, work, home and in public.
