noon to 1:45pm - Basic Pistol Operations at South Metro Public Safety Training Facility, 7525 Braemar Blvd, Edina
Krav Maga is a cutting edge self-defense system that is world renowned for its effectiveness. This training introduces unarmed defensive techniques that work in real life situations. These skills are for everyone, regardless of weight, age or strength. You don’t need to be super flexible or fast.
Taught by Paula Meyers, IKMF Certified Expert Level 3 (the ONLY female in the country), with expertise in Civilian, Children, Law Enforcement, VIP/Security, Women, and Military training. Paula is lead instructor at https://www.kravmaga101.us/.
Basic Pistol Operations is taught by Jennifer McDowell, an NRA-certified Pistol Instructor and owner of Astrid Defense. Participants will learn techniques for safely handing, aiming and firing handguns in a comfortable and safe indoor range (https://policeandfire.training). All equipment and ammunition will be provided.
Training is FREE for first-time participants! Please bring $20 to cover the range fee.
Bring gym shoes (not street shoes) for Krav Maga and a light sweater/sweatshirt for pistol shooting!
